World Heritage Day

Do you know what heritage day is? how do you respond to it? The world celebrates this heritage day with great joy. The theme this year is ‘Complex Pasts: Diverse Futures’. In your area, what heritage needs to be preserved?

In fact, each individual has the same right to contribute to preserving the local heritage of their respective regions.

One of the local heritage that needs to be preserved in the Togean Islands is the cultural wealth of making table salt processed from mangrove roots. This process has been carried out by the Bobongko tribe from generation to generation.

(Note: The community member only takes 1 or 2 roots for each tree).
